Powerful Affirmations for Life
Purpose The below affirmations are good all round energy balancing statements that relate to specific chakras. The key to really getting these powerful affirmations (or any come to that) is getting initially into a relaxed state (the Alpha state), this is where powerful transformation starts.
If the opponent's attack in not down the centreline, then the Ving Tsun practitioner will hit first, as a straight line is the quickest way to the target. This is combined with the Ving Tsun stance thrusting the body forward from the back leg thus dissolving the opponents attack. If the opponent's attack did happen to travel down the centreline, then the Ving Tsun practitioner must still think attack , and deflect the opponent's attack with his on the way to the target. Fig.1 gives an example of this. A punches B . B then shifts his position and applies an upper gan sau deflection which follows through to a punch in Fig. 2. Note how the gan sau is aimed at the opponent's centreline so the block can follow straight through to an attack. Being of positive thinking B does not think he is blocking then attacking. Rather he is counter-attacking and happening to block along the way. If we think of attacking as being positive and blocking as being negative, then B has turned A 's...
One of the most important tenets of cold weather operations is that strong and consistent leadership is essential to
POSITIVE LEADERSHIP AND THE RIGHT ATTITUDE. Leadership must be by example. At first, harsh and unfamiliar conditions tend to be frightening. Marines will find themselves up against many challenges they have never met before and the environment will constantly remind them that they can become a casualty if they make mistakes. Aggressive leadership, which consistently meets and overcomes the challenges of the environment, is essential to mission accomplishment. There will be two enemies to contend with the enemy soldier and the environment itself. The first step towards defeating these enemies is getting your Marines in the right mental attitude. The leader must maintain a positive attitude towards the mission, his Marines, and the equipment they have to carry out the job. You can be defeated psychologically, if you are not aware of the symptoms of a poorly motivated unit.
To this day, the Charles Atlas course sells into the millions each year. What's especially interesting is that Atlas can also be considered the first self help guru His course was filled with self empowering advice and affirmations. It extolled a basic philosophy of positive thinking. As antiquated as it may appear -- everything in the original Dynamic Tension course still holds up as sound advice. What also still rings true is Atlas' motto Nobody picks on a strong man.
Concentrate the mind on the fact I am going to get hit in the stomach . Keep affirming this fact over and over, at the same time asserting to yourself I am not going to get hurt, I cannot be hurt by a hit in the stomach. Your mind is very strong and when concentrated it can achieve fantastic power. If it believes firmly that you are first of all going to get hit in the stomach, it will prepare all the muscles of the body for the blow and will begin to concentrate the breath from the exercises you have been doing to control the breath. Next, when the mind tells your body I am not going to get hurt your body has no choice but to react as if it were not going to get hurt. Your muscles cannot think, your breath cannot think. They do not know if the person punching you can hurt you or not. Your mind must make that decision and you are conditioning your mind now by affirming to yourself the positive fact that you are not going to get hurt. Your mind will coordinate the muscles and the...
CHARLES ATLAS Perhaps the most famous and most recognizable name in all bodybuilding. Born Angelo Siciliano, Atlas started a mail order course with little success until 1928 when Charles P. Roman joined the company as campaign director and suggested the company advertise in comic books. The plan worked. The Charles Atlas course of Dynamic Tension sold millions of copies and continues to be advertised in comic books to this day. Some people feel Atlas did bodybuilding a disservice since his course didn't advocate weight training, even though Atlas would employ weights in his personal program. The Dynamic Tension system was mostly isometrics, calisthenics, general health information and self-empowering affirmations, making the course a precursor to today's self-help books. It can be fairly stated that Charles Atlas introduced more people to bodybuilding than any other individual.

When you were young you used a similar technique for the removal of pain. Remember when you would fall down and hurt your knee. You would grab your knee and take a deep breath, squeeze your muscles, then limp home and your mother would kiss it and make it well. Usually you really did feel better and most of the pain was gone. What was happening was the use of three techniques for the removal or avoidance of pain that we will use. You were using breath control, muscle control and mind control. You used your breath to draw your body's healing powers to the area and to stop the nerve movement. You used your muscle to tighten the area and draw extra blood into it and relieve some of the pain. You used your mother's kiss as a mental affirmation that you no longer hurt.
Sei He Ki tends to focus on those parts of the energy bodies relating to emotions and mental states. It is very good for healing past traumas (used with Cho Ku Rei and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen) and works well with positive affirmations. I use it in almost every healing session, I believe that most disease has an emotional base that must be addressed before a complete healing can occur. The symbol clears emotional blockages and aligns the upper chakras.
The techniques found in this book do not just come from Karate, which is what many people think of when they hear the words martial arts, but they come from Judo, and Jiu-Jitsu, Kung Fu, Aikido, Kendo, Zen, Yoga, and even psychology and ballet. Techniques that can be applicable to all forms of sports have been utilized in this manual for the mutual benefit of the players and the fans. For no one wants to get hurt or see a player get hurt, and everyone wants maximum performance, a positive attitude and a stronger mind.
Use the voice inside your head to your advantage. Tell yourself over and over again that you will succeed. Remain positive and confident and results will follow. Every minute of every day is an opportunity to improve your confidence and personal beliefs. Throughout each day, I tell myself that I will be a champion. I convince myself to train hard each and every day. When I wake up in the morning, I view the new day as a chance to improve some aspect of my game. The little voice inside my head repeats positive words to me throughout the day. You must affirm your ability to succeed and your willingness to work hard. Affirmations are positive statements that you can use to replace your negative thoughts. By stating affirmations, you can transform your former self-doubt into positive, vibrant expectations.
The following exercise assumes that you have managed to perform the initial mental relaxation exercises described in Chapter 2. It takes you beyond conventional thinking, and aims to achieve a perfectly quiescent mind. The inner commotion and noisy activity of your mind (the usual stream of memories, inner dialogue, and mental anxiety) is stilled and your mind becomes extraordinarily sensitive and alert. Reaching this stage is one of the hardest things for any human being to do. You are changing the fundamental behaviour of your mind it will be doing absolutely nothing.
For such a fight, you must train hard to just develop the self confidence to enter such a match. You must, by way of your self confidence, how that you can win. When Wing Chun practitioners go to fight and are defeated then the mentality is not think that the other person is better than himself. Instead he needs to ask himself what were his mistakes to invite the attack. This is the kind of positive thinking which any fighter must possess.
