Head Crab

Main muscles used: neck and trapezius.

Lie on your back on the ground and make a crab position. Lower your head until it is resting on the mat, as per illustration, still using the hands for support. Gently rock back and forward and side to side, on the head. Use the hands to keep some of the bodyweight off the head. As the neck becomes stronger, use the hands less and less until you are performing the exercise without any support from the hands at all.

This is a very difficult exercise and should be practised with great caution. Neck muscles are easy to pull so be careful. This exercise is of five minutes duration.
